Session opening ceremony to begin today in MCU

FTII chairman GajendraChouhan, Election Commissioner OP Rawat to address students in three-day event

Bhopal, 26 July, 2016 : Three-day opening ceremony for new session in MakhanlalChaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication will begin on July 27. Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) GajendraChouhan, Election Commissioner OP Rawat and others experts will address students.Programmes will be held at Samanvay Bhavan, New Market, between 11 am to 5.30 pm.

FTII chairman GajendraChouhan will be the chief guest of opening ceremony. Vice-Chancellor Prof Brij Kishore Kuthiala will preside over the function. Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya will be the chief guest of valedictory function on July 29.

Many eminent personalities including former editor of Sakal, Anand Agase, principal secretary for culture, MP Government, Manoj Shrivastava, Vice-chancellor of Pacific University, Udaipur, Prof Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, Director General of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, KG Suresh, religious leader Swami Dharmabandhu, Quazi Mushtaq Ahmad Naqvi, editor of Webdunia Jaideep Karnik, information commissioners Atmadeep, Heeralal Trivedi, Gopal Dandotiya, senior journalists SharadDwivedi, Brijesh Rajput, Dipti Gupta, public relations expert Subhash Sud, communication research expert Prof BS Nagi, will address students in different sessions.

Discussion on issues: Different sessions will be held on various issues viz. career in entertainment communication, media, changing scenario of media, important of media management education, new media and youth, Right to Information and media, future of television news, career in research, life of a media person, role of religion in life new dimensions in public relations and election and media in the progamme.
