Week-long electronic media equipment training workshop concludes in MCU

Bhopal, 23 August, 2016 : CRPF Jawans could help the society better after media training being imparted to them. CRPF did many works in the interests of the society in adverse conditions. Its jawans are deployed in remote locations where the media have not access. The media training provided to them will be useful.

CRPF Commandant Shyam Sundar expressed these views in valedictory function of week-long electronic media training workshop, organised by Electronic Media Department of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. The jawans were imparted training in audio, video and photography in the special training programme.

Addressing the function as the chief guest, Shri Sundar said there is big difference between training in army and training programme being run in universities. The media training will enhance their skills.  He said CRPF had successfully tackled violence in Jammu and Kashmir and assisted in wars. They provided relief at the time of crisis and flood situation.

Presiding over the function, University Rector Shri Lajpat Ahuja said that the training workshop got appreciations in recent General Council meeting, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. It was emphasized on expanding such training programmes.

Shri Ahuja said the CRPF jawans are always ready to protect the people in the country even when they are in danger. He further said, the jawans can make short films to show case their achievements. The training will be useful and fruitful only when the exercise continues.

Proposing the vote of thanks, Head of Department of Electronic Media Dr Shrikant Singh this is the era of electronic media and technology has affected it. Ten jawans were imparted training in the workshop. Dr Saurabh Malviya conducted the proceedings.
