Students of Journalism and Communication to show their talent 

Annual cultural and sports event 'Pratibha' to begin today in MCU

Bhopal, 02nd March 2017: Annual cultural and sports event 'Pratibha' will begin in Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication on March 3. Students will show their talent by participating in different cultural and sports competitions. The event will complete in two-phase. Cultural competitions will be held in the first phase between March 3 and 7 and sports competitions will take place between March 5 and 11. The university is celebrating its Silver Jubilee Year this year. The University administration has included football championship also in the sports event to mark the occasion. All the contests, which are organised in Youth Festival by Association of Indian Universities, are held in 'Pratibha'. 

The university administration included seven new competitions in the event last year. Rangoli, collage, installation, mime, clay modeling, self composed and solo song competitions were included. This year, students will play football matches. Besides, photography, animation, website, acting, discussion and quiz, skit, dance, singing and instrument playing will be held. In sports, chess, carom, badminton and cricket matches will be held in BHEL Ground.

Today's competitions: Cultural competitions will start in the morning at 9.30 in the university campus. The competitions will continue till 5 pm. First day, essay writing, rangoli, animation, quiz, poster making, extempore and self composed and power point presentation competitions will be organised on Friday.
